-Cooper Roy

Cooper was blessed to be raised in a house that went to church regularly. He was educated on the life of Jesus from an early age, this would plant seeds that one day would grow. As he continued to grow up Cooper played many sports. He enjoyed the competition of playing baseball, basketball, football , and running track. These sports were a vital part of his life as they helped with developing discipline in his life!

Growing up in sports is great for discipline and hard work ethics, but it was very much a distraction in Cooper's life as he strived to figure out where true purpose comes from. While attending high school, he chased good grades and desired to be the star athlete in track and football, but that left him empty at the end of the day. Deep down everyone wants to do something that will last forever , we all desire an eternal purpose.... Cooper continued to navigated his life following the world.
While attending Crossway Baptist Church in Springfield Missouri, he would start to receive a conviction that he didn't understand for 7 years. The Lord would convict and pursue Cooper until September 8th, 2019. On that day Cooper's eyes opened to reality, He would understand that purpose to life is found in a relationship with Jesus. The Gospel was preached on that day in September, he left his pew at the time of invitation, went to his knees in prayer and asked God to be his Lord and Savior. There is no better day in Cooper's life than the day his sins were forgiven and he began a personal relationship with God.

After Cooper accepted Jesus as his Savior, he struggled to live a life fully surrendered to God's plan for him. He didn't exactly know how to live for God but through trial and error God guided Cooper to live a beautiful life of serving Him.
As Cooper would start to live, what he would say was his perfect life for Christ (in the sense of enjoying walking obediently), everything drastically changed for him... on September 24th, 2024
Driving home from a church conference on Highway 65 in Springfield, Missouri, a wrong-way driver struck him head-on. This 140 MPH collective impact tore apart his body and his car. By all worldly accounts, he should have died.
But God!
Cooper’s injuries when admitted into the hospital were extensive. He had over 100 broken bones, his face had no bone structure (he currently has over 10 plates of metal attaching his bones together), he broke both orbital sockets, cheek bones, and jaw. He had fractured vertebrae’s, broken ribs, a punctured lung, lacerated spleen. His left arm had three compound breaks, his left pinky and part of his hand were ripped off. Both sides of his hips and pelvis were broken (the left side was shattered), right knee was fractured with compound breaks in the tibia and fibula. And here’s where it gets even more wild… the left leg was almost completely severed off at his knee! The left femur went through his knee tearing the patella off to the side. Every ligament was torn , he had a complete dislocation in the knee joint. The leg was hanging on by the skin from the back of the knee. Along with all these injuries, deep measures of resuscitation were taken to save Cooper life.
Upon arriving at the hospital he was given 14 units of blood( the average 190 lb male only has 12-13 units of blood in his body)
But God!
Cooper likes to say “the biggest work wasn't done in the operating room, it was done in the waiting room where a multitude of people were gathered, praying to the Lord to preserve my life”. 48 operations later, Cooper is back on his feet. He has had support from all over the world in his healing journey and he’s excited to meet these people as doors open up for him to speak and preach all over.
Cooper’s life was preserved, and preserved for a purpose! He now travels across states and campuses with a single passion: To make the name of Jesus Christ known! From high school auditoriums to college lecture halls, from men’s events to youth rallies and Sunday morning services, Cooper continues to take any opportunity to exalt the name of Jesus!
